First you will want to open IIS 7. You can access this from a Remote Desktop session by navigating to "Start --> Administrative Tools --> IIS 7".
In IIS 7, click on your Server Name.
Click on the "
Server Certificates" icon.
In the menu on the right click "
Create Self-Signed Certificate".
Now, name your certificate accordingly. If you are going to use it for Remote Desktop, for example, use Remote Desktop so that you know the purpose of the given certificate.
Click
OK. Once that is complete, you should see the SSL in the list of Self-Signed certificates.
