Accessing your CDP 3 backup

This article will discuss the general method for accessing your Enterprise backup set from our host servers.

To begin, you will need to login to the Unity panel (https://unity.serverintellect.com/) and get your user name and password for the CDP 3 service, available under your server credentials.

Once you have these, please proceed to the interface site: http://backup3.serverintellect.com/ . You will be presented a login screen. Once logged in, you will be on the CDP3 Dashboard page.

On the left hand side, please click on ‘Agents’. Any servers currently on your account with the CDP 3 service will appear in this window. To proceed to the agent directly, click the ‘Server’ symbol under ‘Actions’ for the server you want to access.

The new window that pops up will be the direct access panel to the agent you selected. From here you have several different options for different features you may select:

  • ‘Disk Safes’ is the storage amount and settings for the physical storage space for your backup.
  • ‘Policy’ is the control for when and how your backup is performed and what drives on your server are copied.
  • ‘Recovery Points’ will allow you to select from your servers and select a day and time to restore files from if needed.
  • ‘Reporting’ will allow you to setup a custom emailed report to alert you to any issue with your backup.

To edit or change settings on most of these options, you will see a notepad icon at the right side of the server line. Clicking this will allow you to edit any settings you wish. Other options, such as under ‘Policies’, will include the blue ‘Play’ button, which will allow you to start a new backup whenever pressed. Under ‘Recovery Points’, you will note several different icons, such as ‘Browse’, Bare Metal Restore’, and ‘Lock’. These will allow you to control restoring files to your server.

The above features will be discussed in the appropriate articles in this knowledge base. Please reference these articles for a specific service and, as always, feel free to submit a technical support ticket if you have any questions and we will be happy to assist you.
